The standard will facilitate seamless integration, compatibility, and communication between parking entities, the automotive industry, IT developers, map and app providers, and other stakeholders.
This updated version covers the Data Domains of Parking Place, Rate, Occupancy, Right, Session & Observation. Version 2.1 includes documents defining the various data elements related to parking, mobility, and transportation, including:
Data Dictionary: Terminology and definitions for the data elements.
Use Cases: Example use cases for applying the data standard.
Information Model: List of data elements, references, and relationship diagrams.
Parking, transportation, and mobility professionals worldwide contributed to the development of Version 2.0. Thank you to everyone who contributed their expertise to the development of this uniform global standard.
APDS is a not-for-profit organization formed by the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI), the British Parking Association (BPA), and the European Parking Association (EPA). Its mission is to develop, promote, manage, and maintain a uniform global standard that will allow organizations to share parking data across platforms worldwide.
The Alliance integrates the International Parking Industry Payment Standards (IPIPS) developed by EPA and already available, and the Data Exchange Standards (IPI-DataEx) developed by IPMI. The Alliance data standard covers the full range of parking data elements, including parking location information and transactions, pricing, and occupancy/utilization.
